I have to say I didn’t expect to meet such amazing people down in Protec. These guys have an excellent customer service and dedication towards their work and to think this doesn’t happen often. Patrick is an IANTD instructor and very qualified in what he does. When I got down to Mexico he brought me out for lunch, and we were talking about the dive industry, and he also lent me all his personal equipment so I could go diving.
When I asked him to take some courses, they were all very busy around the shop and doing commercial work for the government. So he arranged everything for me, and believe me it was not easy, so I could do the Basic Open Water Side Mount. When that was finished I wanted to see if Patrick could teach me the Basic Cave Side Mount, because it was all talking and we never actually have seen each other underwater at this point. I actually got very impressed with this young instructor and I don’t get impressed that easily.
I learned a lot from Patrick, and I will be doing other training with him in the future for sure. Also the secretary was awesome, she got everything I needed, and was always very very accommodating. She printed some t-shirts for me in less than a day, while the shop was full booked. The other Mexican instructor, Nando also went out of his way lending me his side-mount regulator, spool, reels....etc
So nothing but good things to say about this guys/Prtotec. I have no invested interest with Protec divers, but if you are planning on going to Mexico diving/training, I will assure you that this team of instructors will give 100% of your money’s worth, and will even go out of their way to make sure your stay and training is superb.
